DRESDEN-concept gains the State Capital Dresden – Culture, Science and Tourism Division and Dresden International University (DIU) as new members
01.07.2025
Dresden is characterized by a very high number of research institutions and research-active museums. The DRESDEN-concept association was founded in 2010 with 15 founding partners as part of the TUD Dresden University of Technology’s application for excellence and has grown steadily since then. The partners are united by the goal of promoting Dresden as a research location and creating and utilizing synergies in research and teaching as well as infrastructure, administration and transfer. Examples of this are the identification and coordination of research priorities, the joint recruitment of top talent and the joint use of resources. The partners contribute their specific strengths to the network in a targeted manner.
The inclusion of the Culture, Science and Tourism division of the state capital Dresden strengthens the links between the DRESDEN-concept association and the city. Dresden International University (DIU) enriches DRESDEN-concept in particular as a further education university for specialists in the alliance.
