Logging and the Creation of Log Files
For the purpose of ensuring a secure and stable internet presence, personal and technical data from your internet browser is logged by us or by our hosting provider. Among other things, the following data is collected: the type and version of your internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you accessed our homepage (referrer URL), the specific DRESDEN-concept website that you accessed, the date and time of the respective access as well as the IP address of the internet connection from which our homepage is operated. The data is stored in so-called server log files on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement, stability, functionality and security of our web pages. The log files are deleted after 7 days unless further storage is required for evidential purposes. Otherwise, the data is completely or partially excluded from deletion until the incident has been conclusively clarified.
For the purposes of user-friendliness, effectiveness and technical security of this website, we use so-called “session cookies”. These session cookies are used to process certain personal data, such as your browser, your location data or your IP address, which are necessary for the functionality of the website (e.g. if a session cookie is necessary for our multilingual website). Our legitimate interest lies in optimising the functionality of our website and therefore has its legal basis in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser. User profiles are not created.
Analysis Cookie: Matomo
For the purpose of the statistical evaluation of user access, we use an analysis cookie of the open source software Matomo, which is stored on your device via your internet browser. In doing so, your IP address, our website that you visited, the website from which you accessed our homepage (referrer URL), the length of stay on our websites, as well as the access frequency of each of our websites. The IP address is anonymised immediately after processing and before it is saved. The information generated by the cookie remains stored on our servers and is not transferred to third parties. Our legitimate interest in this processing lies in the analysis and optimisation of our websites in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The set cookie is valid for 13 months.

For the purpose of the illustrated scientific and cultural exchange between us and our partners, we offer a portfolio on our website, the original contents of which we are happy to send to you upon request. The email address is required to process your enquiry – without it, we cannot respond to your enquiry or can only provide a limited answer. The recipients are the responsible employees of DRESDEN-concept. No data transfer takes place. Your personal data will be deleted within one week after the purpose has been fulfilled.
Event Registration and Ticket Management
For the purposes of online event registration and ticket management, this website uses the “Event Espresso” plug-in. The plug-in provider has no access to the registration data. Data Processing is conducted on the basis of (pre-)contractual measures in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Failure to provide your data would mean that you could not register for an event. The personal data required for this includes your first name, last name and email address, as well as optional details, such as institution and department. Recipients are the recipients are the responsible employees of DRESDEN-concept. No further data transfer takes place. Your registration data will be deleted as soon as the purpose has been fulfilled, provided that there are no legal retention periods that prevent the deletion.
We integrate videos from different platforms on our websites. Initially, no personal data is transferred to the service providers listed below. Only when the respective content is initiated by clicking on it is personal data (e.g. IP addresses or browser-related information) transmitted to make the video available. This always takes place on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. a GDPR. Furthermore, the content is generally embedded in such a way that the setting of cookies by the service provider is technically prevented in advance. However, if you are registered on the respective platform, further data processing can be carried out by the respective service provider and allocations to existing user accounts can take place.
