New materials and structures

New materials are indispensable for the development of modern, environmentally friendly and resource saving technologies, used to safeguard our standard of living and to master the challenges of an increased mobility and an ageing society. We pool the internationally renowned, great expertise in materials research of the DRESDEN-concept partners with a focus on materials development for the efficient use, transformation and storage of energy. Innovative lightweight constructions, highly efficient energy storage materials and the world’s best OLEDs are prime examples that have been implemented through close interdisciplinary cooperation between experts in those fields. Our key objectives are to identify new topics and innovative material concepts and using the bundled expertise of DRESDEN-concept to implement them as world leaders.
