What’s on in Dresden
December / January

20.12.2021

The current situation unfortunately leaves not many options for freetime activities. However, it is never a bad idea to just go out for walks and explore the area around you!

If you haven’t checked out the following options yet, make sure to do so!

In general, the apps „koomot“ and „outdooractive“ provide you with many hiking opportunities also in English language.

Moritzburg and around

Moritzburg Castle was the hunting lodge of Augustus the Strong and is of course worth a visit at any time of year. Here, you can walk in the footsteps of a fairy tale movie: the castle was the filming location of the christmas cult film „Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella“, which German families watch together every year during the christmas holidays.

Wildpark Osterzgebirge

Discover native wildlife in its natural environment on the large parkland. During a walk through the extensive grounds you will encounter animals of Germany, which usually cannot be observed so close. During the winter season the park is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 3G regulations apply.
