Join us for a scenic medieval hike through Saxon Switzerland, where nature meets history. We’ll start in Kurort Rathen, crossing the Elbe with the traditional Gierseilfähre. From there, we’ll head up to the stunning viewpoint near the Damm, continue to the cliffside ruins of Felsenburg Neurathen, and walk across the iconic Bastei Bridge. After soaking in the panoramic views from the Wehlsteinaussicht, we’ll descend through the magical Schwedenlöcher gorge and finish our loop near the Amselsee and Amselbrücke. The hike is around 6.3 km and takes about 2-3 hours. Expect narrow paths, steep stairs, and breathtaking scenery—sturdy shoes are a must. A perfect blend of adventure and medieval charm!
There will also be an opportunity to take a break and enjoy a snack or ice cream.
