On February 10, 2022 the 14th DDc Lunch Retreat will be taking place from 12:00 to 1:00 pm.
Prof. Maik Gude will present the following topic: CHANGE! – From resource efficiency towards neutrality. We are looking forward to an interesting retreat with the key speakers:

Rapidly advancing climate change and the increasing scarcity of resources require a paradigm shift in terms of future viability and sustainability. Far beyond the approach to resource and energy efficiency already pursued in lightweight construction today, there is a need for a shift toward primary raw material-free closed-loop solutions for high-tech structural components. This requires a comprehensive approach that critically examines our needs and essentially determines future product development, use, reuse and recycling in order to create holistic neutrality. Socio-ecotechnological innovations are required here that are supported by a high level of social acceptance and balance the goals both of ecology, fair working and living conditions worldwide, and economy.
The meeting will be held in English as a videoconference (Zoom). All DDc-scientists are cordially invited to join and discuss with the key speakers.
