Virtual Journey Around The World Vol. 2

“Fernweh” – originated in the German language, meaning “longing for distant places”. We bet that’s exactly how you all feel at the moment. Steadily being locked in your apartments, the next real journey might be far away from now, but we can offer you a “virtual” journey around the world to escape the daily grind. Some of you who took part in the last event, might already know how it works:

If you’d like to tell others about your home country and its culture, you are very welcome to do so in a small presentation. Don’t worry – it doesn’t have to be long or time-consuming in the preparation. Some random facts that YOU find most interesting could give the others some new insights since nobody knows your country the way you do. If you want to prepare a short presentation about your country, please email us and let us know which one you would like to present (kultur@mailbox.tu-dresden.de). We will also send you a few guiding questions in case you don’t have a clue what would be interesting to talk about.

Last time, we heard a lot about Scotland, Romania and Switzerland and we are curious what will come next! Be prepared to also get more lockdown activity tips for Dresden and the area. We are really looking forward to seeing you soon at this fun and interesting night full of international flair and cool discussions!

Of course, it’s also fine if you just want to participate and listen to the stories of the others, but the more people are willing to give us an insight of their home country, the cooler and more fun the evening will be!
