A tour through the Technical Collections Dresden is always worth a visit. The museum director will give us a guided tour in English language through the whole museum. Afterwards, you are free to explore the museum even further.

We will be visiting the Technical Collections Dresden, a museum which offers a large variety of interesting collections and experiments! The building with its prominent tower –formerly a camera factory and place of business for Ernemann Works, later Zeiss-Ikon AG and VEB Pentacon counts as one of the most meaningful industrial buildings of the past century. The museum possesses more than 30,000 objects from industrial, technical, and everyday history of the last 150 years. Furthermore, you can find the „Adventure land of Mathematics“ which includes many games and experiments, depicting how fascinating mathematics can be. It’s difficult to summarize what the museum has to offer, as it also includes experiments with physics and acoustic waves, collections about the history of photos, cinemas, and videos, as well as the development of microelectronics here in Saxony. Come and join us, to see all the mentioned and even more areas yourself.

We will meet at 1:45 p.m in front of the Museum. The main entrance is located right at the main street next to the Museum. (Schandauer Straße)

Participation in this event will be for free.
